Broadmoor Pond Park
We stopped by Broadmoor Pond Park for a lunchtime walk! File this one under, “We love it here, and the winters are beautiful!”
It was a gorgeous day in Tallahassee when we visited the park. They planted trees in early 2022, and they will provide awesomely needed shade when they mature! Like many of Tallahassee’s parks, this one was built around stormwater management. It is a flat and easy hike that is slightly less than three-fourths of a mile.
Arbor Day Observance 2022
As part of Leon County’s Arbor Day observance, the County Parks and Recreation helped plant 200 trees in 2022 along the shores of Broadmoor Pond on Jackson Bluff Road. When fully mature, they will provide great shade for walkers. The trail is approximately 0.7-miles. It is an easy hike, and it takes about 15 min to complete. This trail is great for road biking, running, and walking, and it’s unlikely you’ll encounter many other people while walking. The trail was very quiet and didn’t have a lot of traffic on the road either. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Remember that we can bring our dogs to most Tallahassee parks, but they must be on a leash.
